I virtually have 2 comments over the web contents:

1.I would be glad if some new tips/featurs should be added up ie. comical pages/stories, entertainment pages. Actually there are many variations that should be consulted with.

2.the color should be more enlightening coz this looks blur.

Dear web team at JG,

I would appreciate an addition to the "share this page" bar for Twitter. Please use the model implemented by the New York Times (and not the model implemented by Jakarta Post). If you click on the Twitter icon for sharing, up comes a condensed link for the page you want to share, and then you can type your own tweet to share the Jakarta Globe's link. I would use it often, because your articles are always so interesting.

Thank you.

Its really frustrating how some news items that I would really like to comment on, like today's bomb in my home country are un-commentable on. Gary McKeown, listed as a Nortern Irish lawmaker? Most I can dig up is that he is head of a youth group.

Mahmud G's suggestions are a great basic start!

"1. Comment tracking per user. Since everyone needs to register to post comments, I was thinking it would be very useful if every user could look at their own comments history.

2. Better comment browsing. I think I'm not the only one a bit frustrated whenever I wanted to join a discussion in the comment section but don't know where to start, since the news page only displays a certain number of comments without being able to browse through all of them. It would be useful if the posted comments are all browsable."

I see that the original comment (from December, 2009), that nothing has changed. 'JG staff' too busy, too lazy, don't care or don't know how?

Just wanted to quietly say that I have been reading the JG since its beginning and although I thought then that it was certainly an amazingly comprehensive paper and no doubt the best in Asia at least, I wondered whether it would last in such tough times. Obviously it has. It is extremely informative but I would like to see it take over the Jakarta Post and form an even bigger and better enlarged version of the "Globe" with even more features.

Concepts that make this paper superior include 1) the series of coloured diagrams that are used to make a story's explanatiion simpler,( which you just dont see in my local Melbourne Australia newspaper so much; where I live mostly) 2) the in depth background and historical information provided to major stories, eg yesterdays full explanation of Aceh's struggles and political history going back to 1945, and 3) " My Jakarta" the only forum I know that shows true ordinary Indonesians as they live, work and play

This is an OOT message.

I would like to ask the JakartaGlobe to participate in a Global event that is going to be celebrated in London on the February 14th.

How shall I send the information/invitation to the JakartaGlobe?

The article on Shariah Law is obviously written by a kampung idiot and seems to serve the Jakrta Globes antiislamic propaganda.

I have been noticing the spiteful articles totally lacking objectivity appearing which is explained by the analysis of the owner group. Hate is something endemic in Christians communities which is fundamentally imported from the christian west. The Christian hate is is testament in the Holocaust, genocide in americas, asia, africa, afganistan, iraq, Bosnia to name a few. Globes linked in it appears, Further research will expose it. But I think you ought to be exposed as a dangerous appendage of the 666.

Your article on cement capacities is quite inaccurate. The rated capacity of a 20 year old plant is not its production capacity. Furthermore some parts of plants are as much as 70 years old. So your figure is far too high. Inspite of published figures. Kupang new plant has produced nothing since construction 8 years ago. Andalas has produced nothing since the Tsunami although imports the same or in fact more than they were selling before. There is a three to four year lead to build a plant and investment cost is very high. There will be a vast shortage of cement within two years if the infrastructure programme ever really gets going. Of course at this moment there is a small over capacity but for whatever reason certain plants are committed to exports which should stop. Gresik, Tonasa, Holcim and some smaller units are expanding but not nearly fast enough. Investment is the key but that will not happen until we stop wasting the Ministers' time discussing the successful bail out of Bank Century and get on with expanding Indonesia's earnings by new Investment by the rich who are still sitting on their 'hard earned' funds.

One thing i want to say here that i suggest a new feature from jakarta gloge: Forum. I hope jakarta globe has a forum in the site. I think it's very important to have a forum to discussing with other jakarta globe readers. Hope this new feature will be available soon. thanks.

JG,

I have several ideas that I think can improve the site:

It would be useful if the posted comments are all browseable.

JG, I think you need to have an application to allow user to share your articles through twitter as well. Sorry if you have it already but I just can't find the tool. Thanks

hai globe! Currently I most like reading globe to get news, while via mobile web, it is quite simple format (i'm using Opera mini), though via desktop/laptop pc, I think larger font would be more preferable. Then, why don't you separate domestic and international news? emm...that's for now guys
