Indonesian Police Detain Woman Thought to be Noordin Top's Wife
Indonesia's Detachment 88 antiterrorism squad has detained a woman believed to be the wife of Malaysian terrorist suspect Noordin M. Top.
Some twenty heavily armed members of Densus 88 arrived at the Al Muaddib
Boarding School compound in Pasuruan, Central Java at around 10 a.m. local time. They broke down the door and arrested Arina as well as her mother, Tuti, whose husband Bahrudin Latif, alias Bahridin, is also a terror suspect.
Former Detachment 88 chief Surya Dharma told the Jakarta Globe
Noordin is believed to have married Arina to bind his accomplice with family ties and make him less likely to betray Noordin.
Bahrudin's whereabouts remain unknown.
Pasuruan village chief Watim Suseno confirmed the arrests. Indonesian police spokesman Nanan Soekarna declined to comment.
